Job Title: Parts Runner - Lexus
Department: Parts
Reports To: Parts Manager
SUMMARY
Assists parts and service departments by providing fast and efficient service in picking up, delivering, filling orders and pulling parts.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer Service
1. Picks up, delivers, or ships parts damage free to technicians or designated accounts as instructed.
2. Inspects shipment at loading and unloading for damage and quantity; make appropriate notations on Delivery receipt.
Department/Team
1. Pulls or fills parts orders.
2. Calls dealership to check for additional deliveries and pick-up within area that may include deliveries of sensitive and/or confidential documents on behalf of Village Automotive Group or one of its entities.
Housekeeping
1. Organize and posts schedule of deliveries to maximize efficiency.
2. Ensures areas of the parts department are organized, clean, safe and properly stocked.
3. Ensures parts vehicles are clean, safe and maintained in an operable condition.
Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
1. At least six months work experience in automotive or related industry position.
2. Effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
3. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
4. Ability to understand and carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
5. Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office preferred.
6. Must be at least 18 years of age; with valid driver’s license that meets company standards; may be required to drive company or customer vehicles.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
1. Regularly required to talk, hear, reach with hands and arms, use hands to finger, handle, & feel; frequently required to stand and sit; & occasionally required to walk, climb, kneel & crouch.
2. Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
3. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
1. Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals, moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
2. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
